What is re-enameling?

Re-enameling, also known as resurfacing, is a process of restoring and renovating enameled surfaces such as bathtubs, sinks, tiles, and similar elements. It is a specialized technique that involves applying a new layer of enamel to the damaged or degraded surface to give it a new and durable appearance.

How long should I wait before using my bathtub after it has been re-enameled?

We recommend waiting for 24 hours before using a bathtub coated with our enamel. Any damage caused by touching or using coated objects before the recommended 24-hour period by our experts will not be covered by our warranty.

At what stage of my renovations is it best to plan for bathtub restoration?

For quality re-enameling, it is best to plan it last after painting, flooring, tiling, plumbing, and dusting works. This avoids damaging the bathtub and reduces the risk of dust settling during the application and drying process.

Will this product maintain its smooth and glossy appearance over the years?

By following the maintenance recommendations, it is expected that the bathtub will maintain its new appearance for 15 to 20 years. As for tile re-enameling, it no longer needs to be repeated. The products used by Eco-Bain are easily repairable. In the event of damage or a decrease in shine for any reason, we can repair or polish the surface to restore its original luster.

What is the time required to complete the work?

Each project is unique; however, the time required to treat a bathtub, sink, or basin that has never been re-enameled is typically 2 to 4 hours. Enameling the tiles covering all the walls of a standard-sized bathroom would take approximately 4 to 8 hours.

Is it possible to re-enamel a bathtub more than once?

Yes, we can re-enamel your bathtub multiple times, giving it a new lease of life. Trust us for long-lasting and superior quality results.

Does your product emit strong odors during or after the process?

Our low-odor products are filtered by powerful ventilation systems capable of purifying up to 2500 cubic feet of air per minute. Our fan eliminates small particles in the air. After your bathroom is finished, ventilate other rooms by opening windows for 1 hour and keeping the bathroom door closed for 4 hours. No need to leave your home.

Do you apply silicone sealant?

Yes, our product dries to the touch in just ten minutes, allowing for the application of silicone sealant on the same day, provided that the gap between the bathtub and the ceramic does not exceed 1/4 inch.

What products can I use to clean my bathtub?

We recommend using any non-abrasive cleaning product. It is best to use a sponge for scrubbing. You can also pour some hot water into the bottom of the tub, add a mild cleanser (e.g., dish soap), and let it sit for 5 minutes to facilitate cleaning.

What is the duration of your warranty?

Our 5-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, provided proper maintenance is observed. In case of material-related issues, we will carry out repairs at no additional cost.

What materials do you use?

Eco-Bain uses high-quality finishing materials and an exclusive base coating system. Our durability tests set us apart in the market. We place great importance on surface preparation, which is essential for a durable and high-quality finish.

Do you apply silicone sealant around the bathtub?

Yes, we offer the application of silicone sealant around the bathtub. However, we do this at the end of the re-enameling process, provided that the thickness of the sealant is considered normal, meaning 1/4 inch or less.
